Along with the Security Council, ECOSOC is one of the main branches of the United Nations, making it one of the most important committees in the model. ECOSOC aims to make possible the cooperation of the United Nations, as well as the main organs of the committee, in order to address global issues and come up with recommendations. The economic and social committee has a great role in the world, as it works closely with the people and is responsible for making the world a better place for all. The main reason why I find the ECOSOC to be of great importance is its constant commitment to the human rights of all people in the world.

I believe ECOSOC is an important commission because it helps us understand situations that are currently happening across the globe and the way it impacts our society and economy. I believe it is important because it offers us a way to see the world from a different perspective and opens up our view on current issues that go beyond just social aspects, which are the ones that are mostly talked about, and lets us see how it affects us economically and politically in multiple nations across the globe.

Welcome to the Economic and Social Committee. As your chair we look forward to working with you in this experience. We want to guide and help you become the best delegates you can be through hard work and dedication.

We hope you show us your commitment to global issues that are currently happening in the world. As your chair we are also committed to making the commission the best it can be. We hope you’re ready to take on this journey, which will lead you to become a better delegate and help become much more understanding and open-minded person. Again, we will like to welcome you to the committee and we expect from you hard work and full determination through out this whole experience.
