My dearest delegates,

My name is Pablo Mena and I am very proud to be the Secretary General for this model. With the help of staff, presidents and logistics, we will develop the best experience for all of you, the delegates. Ban Ki Moon, the eight and current Secretary General of the United Nations once said, “if we can’t all swim together, we will all sink”. This shows the importance of the United Nations, because as he said, if all nations do not cooperate with each other, we will live in a world with no rules, with no rights and with no peace, in a world of chaos.

The United Nations has been a very big part of my life since the first model I attended to. I went there with the purpose to experience new things and to be part of something new. I had no idea if I was going to like it or not, but I decided to try, and as you can guess, I loved it. That is the reason why we have put so much of our time and effort to make this model work. We expect all of you to get involved and to feel passionate about this new and great experience.

We would like to encourage students to participate in this type of projects because they are the future. Our generation is full of bright minds that need to be guided and need to explore new areas in life. This is a great opportunity to get really involved and to feel you are representing your nation, to believe and to breathe as your nation would. Because the United Nations is all about representing your country’s ideas and beliefs.
